The Giveaway City entry guide
A guide to creator and collectible giveaways
Community giveaways can range from a simple entry form to a draw with required and optional actions. For collectible prizes, the exact edition and condition matter too. Use this guide to decide what you are entering and how participation works.
Read the campaign’s entry rules
Check whether a campaign is an external promotion, a draw completed on this site or another type of reward. Follow the instructions attached to that giveaway. Do not assume that viewing a listing or following a creator automatically submits an entry.
Distinguish required actions from bonuses
A campaign may ask for a set of required actions and offer optional ways to gain additional entries. Complete the requirements shown for that campaign, and check any limits or eligibility conditions. More entries do not guarantee a win.
Check the exact collectible
A Pokémon collection, a sealed trading-card product, a graded card and a loose card are different prizes. Read the edition, language, condition and included items where stated. Use the organiser’s full prize description for anything the listing does not specify.
Consider delivery and regional limits
Physical prizes may have shipping restrictions or collection requirements. International delivery can involve additional conditions. Check who is eligible, where a prize can be delivered and whether the organiser specifies any costs before entering.
Follow up through official channels
Use the campaign’s published result or notification process. If an account contacts you about a win, verify it against the organiser’s official channels. Never provide account passwords, and check any request for payment against the actual giveaway terms.
